 stalker Hi,~Several times now I have started stalker and saved my game a few mins in. The game is never there to load and so when i die i have to go right back to the start and begin a new game.Anyone know hwy before I said email to tech support?Vista prem 32 , dx up to date (9 and 10), windows cared etc etc latest drivers.Runs well on 1920 x 1200 but just cannot save the game!!

Re: stalker Also, in STALKER it does not remember my game settings from one load to another....I have done the 'save test' in console and it seems to have a problem writing the save game file....I have sent a mail to tech support but they haven't been able to help with any of my previous issues and i dont hodl out much hope here - maybe you guys can help better?Thanks

Re: stalker well it saves to My Docs and Shared Docs folders. So best idea might be to ensure they arent read only, admin rights are allowed and UAC is disabled (if already disabled try enabling it to see if theres an effect)

Re: stalker I run stalker on Vista Prem with no problems. Does sound like access rights to me. Are you running more than one user on the PC?If so... use whichever one was created when the machine was first setup... it will usually be given admin access. Subsequent users are often set as restricted access.Either way you need to check the user access rights by going to Control Panel and then clicking Add or Remove User Accounts in the top right corner (unless using the classic view)

Re: stalker Remember that the first email from Tech Support will be auto-generated - you MUST reply to that to get a human response (assuming nothing in the auto-generated one helps).

Re: stalker hmm, tried all the above - still no joy. I have even reinstalled vista (destructive reinstall) and still no luck.Anyone from metaboli care to comment? OR perhaps tech support - no reply from email yet although I did send it only yesterday.cheers
