If you downloaded from here you dont need to patch, in fact patching will make the game not work.

I would also assume you have updated your graphics drivers and have cleaned your PC using spyware/registry cleaning software (get
systemcare if you havent)
If you got it elsewhere (hinted by downloading from many sites) and more importantly illegally then we cant help you, this is not a piracy site. In fact if you arent a member I would recommend joining, its not too expensive and you get a lot of gaming for your £.
