Post Anyone answering support tickets regarding cancellation?
Been trying to contact support about cancellation of subscription since friday 10th, sent cancellation request on Friday, only had an autoresponder reply.

Any email I send to support do not get answered / replied to. I am becoming rather concerned only for the unorthodox way in which Metaboli deals with cancellations and I really dont want to be billed for another month.

Can someone people get back to me or at least follow this up and assure me that I will not be billed again.

The only reason I am using the forum is because I am getting zero response from support@metaboli.co.uk.

You can cancel it yourself. Go to "My account", then "Manage account" and there will be a "Cancel subsciption" link. I have tried it once and it did work. :) Good luck

That was the first thing I did, but just got an auto responder reply with a reference number.

Normally this wouldn't worry me, but Metaboli cancellation process never used be this hard and hearing stories about people still being billed after they have cancelled doesnt exactly fill me with confidence... especially as support hasn't replied to a single one of my emails since Friday afternoon.

I cancelled early enough not to be billed again according to their 8 day period, but its getting close to that date now and what I dont want to happen is them to turn round to me then and say "We didnt get your emails, its too late to cancel now you have to pay another month..."

Hi

The things you have heard about the cancelations in the past are genrally due to the person not being aware of the cancelation policy that meta have.

The cancellation must be carried out a minimum of 8 days before the subscription renewal date.This is taken directly from the terms and conditions. which can be found here

The 8 day notice period gives meta and your bank the chance to enusre that the payment is stopped.

Assuming you have allowed enough time then i would send another mail to official support via the e-mail that you have.It will probably help if you include all the relevant info when mailing support.

You could try sending a pm to Metad to see if it would help speed up getting a response.

Thanks for trying to help, but I already know about the linked information and have done everything you guys have suggested.

However, I havent tried PMing an admin here yet, I might try that if no response comes back tomorrow from my emails I have already sent to support over the last few days.

Every time I have cancelled the service previously I have always had a confirmation email to that effect, but its now 5 days since my cancellation request and I am yet to receive one.

Clicking the 'cancel subscription' button in 'my account' just brings me to the FAQ section about cancelling a subscription...

Then following the info in that about submitting the request via a web form (amateur hour), that just tells me it failed. It's trying to search it's knowledge base for what I've typed in as the message, not send the message to any destination. But this is the form that the FAQ on cancelling links directly to. :roll:

Man they have really built a bad system.

So, no way for me to cancel? I'm 9 days away from renewal. If I end up with another month charged because they have the shoddiest cancellation system ever in place...well lets say I won't be at all surprised to find it was intended to end up that way.

But companies that practice these kind of things don't make very much money in the long run, as their reputation for deceit soon spreads.

So what do I have to do to cancel?

to be honest i haven't had to cancel so i don't know how the cancel system is working since the service updates, it worked ok before then.

try sending a email to metaboli support which is support@metaboli.co.uk tell them the situation and the issue with the links and they should be able to help you out, if you don't hear anything from support give MetaD a PM and she should be able to help, although Metaboli have very light staff if any at all on weekends so you may not hear anything until Monday.

Feel obliged to come back and say that the cancellation went through the very next day. Apparently something did get sent when i submitted. Even though it said nothing found in knowledge base, which really confused the situation.

Any ways, cancellation successful.

Now to re-subscribe. It was just a test to see if I would be screwed when I really wanted to end the subscription permanently.

But still, the cancellation system could be improved.
