I cannot get this game to work. all others work fine. The ones i've tried that is. Ive updated all my drivers. I am running a Acer Aspire am5700 which has a core 2 quad processor running at 2.4ghz. with 6gigs of ddr2 Ram. I have a Nvidia Geforce GT120 video card with 1gig memory. My windows version is Win Vista x64 fully updated. my directx is 11. it does show Vista as being supported for this game.
My problem, when i click on play on the page i get an error beep but no message or window pops up? The game window opens up to a black screen and won't move. I tried adding all the games exe's to my data-execution list and still no go, so tried changing my display settings a bit from different sizes, ex. 800x600,1024x768 and above. tried changing from 32bit to 16bit and still same problem. i tried running all exe in compatibilty mode for winxp and then win98/me which also made no difference.
so I've also tried shutting down as much as i can on my pc hoping that maybe something running might be incompatible but usual result, no diff. so I'm now running out of ideas.
I wanted to include a dxdiag for my pc but every extension i save it as and try to upload it refuses me. tried .txt, .pdf, .doc so i guess i can't. Anyone with any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried installing directx from the games own page?

It may install older or newer files that are needed for the game.This game needs dx9.0c not 11.Installing dx9.0c from the games own page won't stop dx 10 or 11 from working it will just work along side them.

Have you tried checking your security software to ensure it is not blocking the game from running properly?

I have just tried both those things again to be sure. installed the directx off the game page. I run AVG Internet Security 2012 and have added all exe.s in games directory to allow in firewall and even added as exceptions to my resident sheild. same problem, i get error beep then Black screen, wait endlessly and nothing happens upon pressing ctrl alt delete it shows as not responding.

I have also tried the program cff explorer and doing what it says in the Faq forum about changing exe to use ram larger than 2g but this didnt work either.
