	Download speeds seem slow  lemminguk 15 Sep 2005, 14:38 Joined: 01 Sep 2005, 08:53 Posts: 91 Location: Germany, Ulm  Download speeds seem slow Hi there,I have a question regarding the download speeds I should be achieving.I'm currently downloading RTMI and am getting a KB/sec rate between 100 and 130I have a 2Meg connection which should give me a technical maximum of ~260 KB/sec, However in an imperfect internet world I would never get that rate but I would expect higher than 112 average..more like 220 or higherCorrect me if I am wrong here...LatersCarl _________________ "Genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration." - Thomas Edison mixedupjim 15 Sep 2005, 23:55 Joined: 22 Jul 2005, 14:14 Posts: 31  Re: Download speeds seem slow hi lemminguk,Your almost right...your maxuimum download limit is actually 256kbytes/s (2048kbits/8) (think thats right anyway)!I guess it all depends on how busy metaboli are and how much the contention ratio is on your connection. I've had anywhere from 60kb/s to 1,000kb/s!
