Post Re: Do not buy this service!
To start with your use of the term greasy cakes is totally unacceptable for a forum where families and childern may be looking. It also shows a lack of maturity and as im assuming you have a creditcard and are over the age of 18 then maybe you should be acting your age and not your shoe size!!.If you are unhappy with any part of the service fine but you could at least have the decency to post in a polite constructive manner!!!

Secondly it is not impossible to unsubscribe if that is what you desire. This is your first post in these forums so would it not have been better to ask for a little help before making the statements you have?

A few users have had 1 or 2 small issues unsubscribing when using the webform admittedly (usually when having not read the t@c about how long before they need to cancel)but they are few and far between. If you bothered to check how the process works when trying to unsubscribe you would have seen that an autogenerated e-mail is sent to your e-mail address when filling in the web form and that it needs to be done 8days in advance.Have you checked your spam filter to make sure it has not been blocked.Aslo if you did not recieve an auto generated e-mail have you even tried contacting official support support@metaboli.co.uk. Im guessing from the look of your two posts in the forums you have not.

From the t&c

Cancellation is carried out online by contacting Client Support. The cancellation must be carried out a minimum of 8 days before the subscription renewal date. This technical delay is necessary to ensure that the cancellation has taken effect prior to the bank taking payment for another monthly period of the Pack chosen by the User. If the User cancels his/her subscription less than 8 days before the subscription renewal date he/she runs the risk that the cancellation will not be effective before the following renewal date, the payment for that month will be automatically debited from their account and the Subscription will remain open until the following renewal date, at which point the cancellation will take effect.

Hi there.

I'm afraid I cannot let you post false statements, amouting in effect to libel against our service.

We do not make it impossible to unsubscribe, we actually describe how to do it in very clear terms in the Terms and Conditions, which you have agreed to when you signed up with us.

Also, but this is more of a general vocabulary point, you don't 'buy' this service per se, you subscribe to it.

Why would you want to unsubscribe anyway!? Obviously not a full shilling.

I didn't have a problem unsubscribing I emailed support and they took around 4/5 working days to get back to me to say it was canceled and I left enough time before it was too late for the next payment to come out.

I have to admit though some people have had problems support not always getting back to them. but after 4 days I would send them another reminder.

As for wanting to leave I disagree with that comment about not being a full shilling, I've been a member for around 2 years but just lately the games are not to my taste and I have gone back to playing games like everquest 2 and paying my sub for that. plus there hasn't been much feed back from the forum Admin when asking for game requests been told not a problem I'll chase that up and never bother getting back with an answer.

Just one of many little things.....I might be back in the future once things pick up a bit my account runs out in February but I'll still check the games release page.

I've recent signed upto steam as well so got a few games from that

Didn't mean any offense by the comment, it's just the way I talk. ;)

Stoked: Released on day 1
Cities XL: Within 4 months of launch (if I remember rightly)
Many others that I can't remember off the top of my head have been launched within months (as in, 4 or less) of launch, and some within weeks. If you want instant gratification, well, that's not Metaboli's problem... Not to mention they have to cater for various people with various wants for gaming.

Also, if you're waiting for the "biggest and best" (and even then, that's debateable), from EA, Activision, etc... Then you'll be waiting for a long time. They still haven't got the hang of digital downloads. If it ain't from their online store, you're paying through the nose for it; if it is, you're still paying through the nose for it, but they're making a bigger profit.

Incidentally; £160 for 100 games in one year (give or take), I doubt you'd find value like that elsewhere. Even on GoG you're paying $6 (about £4, give or take) for "old games".

Sure, you can call me a "fanboi", but I'm completely impartial. By the same token, I could call you a troll, but that would just be name calling.

Not to mention AAA titles like The Witcher, already announced as coming around a month after release... Assassins Creed came pretty quickly after release, so I'm expected Brotherhood on here (Already bought the game, but hey! :D).

That, however, isn't really something to criticise the service for - they never hide their release schedules (The release forum is publicly viewable), coming soon, current games list; prior to purchase you have a chance to see what was there already, and whether you'd like to continue in that vein. Caveat Emptor - and if you don't do your research, who's at fault?
