Re: Banner ads
I'm on IE 8. Maybe that's why I don't see it. Damn IE's CSS Support! & thanks for the feedback, Mad Swede.

Yep still there I'm afraid.
Using Win 7 64-bit and IE9.
IE's CSS Support changed from Version 7 to 8 to 9 for certain things.
Pain in the backside for us developers.

How weird! Now that I test it though, it works fine... Do you still have this bug today ? I will need to mention this to our devs, but let us know if it happens again to see if it was a one-day bug or worse. Thanks!

Re: Banner ads
You're right! In IE if you click a banner, the Metaboli redirect to The Next Big Thing overrides it. The banners work as they should in FireFox. Back to CSS School for your code monkeys Shane!

Re: Banner ads
I have a question about the ads. Ive seen one i like and thought i'd click it instead of looking it up myself through google and when i do it always takes me to The next big thing game page. I clicked on it and also tried right click open in new tab.Iv'e tried deleting my cache and restarting my pc but it still does it.Is this just me? It's not a big deal but i'd like to know if it's something with me and i suppose you'd like to know if its a problem or not. any suggestions?
also I have a little triangle at the bottom of the ads that i can close them or open them. i wonder about this cause ive read that others are wondering if you can close it. so they don't bother me. I didnt install anything, unless its something already on my pc.

Re: Banner ads
Or if ads bother some so much and they use firefox then the plugin adblock will stop you seeing them altogether.

Re: Banner ads
Thanks for your input Gamer_6512483. We'll discuss internally about different options when the test is over and we decide how to move forward. Thanks again.

Re: Banner ads
So exactly where in my profile do Metaboli intend to put a tickbox saying "no to ads"?
I know the rules are different in the UK, but in Denmark you can place an official sticker on your physical mailbox saying no to ads. This is the way to get rid of printed ads without addresses. To get rid of the addressed printed ads, you can join the so-called Robinson list, which every company has to check before sending you a printed commercial.
I know that Metaboli will get revenue from the ads, but how about a different business model, where you charge an extra fee for the "extra" no-ads service? I have no intention to click on any of the ads, so if Metaboli gets paid-per-click, I believe my proposed model is a better business. If you want a more positive model, raise the normal price, and give customers a reduction if they accept ads.
