Re: Failing to connect to multiplayer
A lot of developers now dont seem to want to release a separate dedicated server app.

This is the case with dragon rising, why i see hundeds of of players on my xfire group but when u login thare are hardly any servers up.

Its can be a lot of work finding a host who really has a good connection and isnt just taking on too many players, just so they quit and the host ends up winning as they are the only one who can play the game, other players end up lagging sometimes seconds behind so you/they need a superpower allowing you to see into the future a few seconds to play, lol

Im dowloading heros over europe to see if i can set one up, then we could check to see that it shows up under your list.

I know i keep banging on about it, but you should download xfire(just google it), its a free messaging program that lets people see what friends are playing which games, for example, i can see "OmegaIronic"is offline know, but when he come on, i get a popup, then if he plays dragon rising, i can just look at server next to his name and join him without even speaking to him first. Its worth at try, u will get me online there any time unless im out shooting.

I reckon after a few members start using it the rest will feel left out and join, so please please give it a try, ill setup a flashpoint server etc, show you where to get the hundereds of other free coop missions or both of us can help u finish your campain first.

Ill make a heros over europe server too and we can fix that problem in real time, or i have no problem using voice(another xfire feature) so we can just talk while playing.

my usernames on my sig, and "omegaironic" username is same as metaboli, just all lower case.

Hope to see you on xfire :D

Re: Failing to connect to multiplayer
Thaks Bud,
It was my virgin media firewall stopping me from playing online,
I see the game in the preferneces lsit, so i just turn firewall off when playing

This works for Operation flashpoint, but when i try to connect to Heroes over europe, no game servers available,
if i try to create a server, it just stays at connecting

Any ideas

Ta
Mick

Re: Failing to connect to multiplayer
They should all work.

There are a few which are waiting for patches like farcry 2, but the game would be asking you to update.
Dragon Rising does tell you a new patch available but isnt essential for online play.

It sounds likley that either your sofware or router firewall are blocking games that it does not recognise, try adding the games to the allowed list in you software firwall with the "range" set to any ports. Also if you are using a router you may have to set it to allow the ports the games use to connect.

If you are not sure how, post what firewall you use and type of router or modem you are using and i will try help or someone else may even have same model and/or firewall.

Failing to connect to multiplayer
OK so i tried Heroes, and couldnt connect on multiplayer, and i tried flashpoint, they either refuse connection when creating a account or just plain wont connect,

is it certain games, or should they all work ??
