Re: LCD flatscreen problem
Yes driver stopped responding I couldnt remember the excate words it uses. I have tried altering the setting to low specs. And it seems to be more random if it happens or not regaurdless of what settings its on. I guess its just time I brought a new laptop. Thanks for your help.

Re: LCD flatscreen problem
when you say "graphic card failed" do you mean driver stopped responding?
it sounds to me that your video card is running out of memory causing it to stop responding.
try playing the games with lower settings and resolution.
hope this helps.
also its always a good idead to check you have the latest drivers for you card.
latest version of dx etc.

Re: LCD flatscreen problem
It is 17" graphics card ATI radeon xpress 200m series I know its poor but it has served me well upto now. I do get graphics card failed and restart itself messages now and again. the most recent game it happened on is department 42. So it not always top spec games it happens on. And it didnt happen when it was on the laptop monitor.

LCD flatscreen problem
This isnt a metaboli problem but I was wondering if anyone could help me. Recently my laptop screen backlight died, Therefor I brought a cable so I could hook my laptop up to my lcd flatscreen monitor. All seems to be working but on certain games the graphics go wrong esp over texts, This only happens on certain games, its like different patches of the screen there random blocks of different colors. does anyone know what this could be or how to fix it? thanks in advance
