Re: Dirt 2
There is a time frame, but it varies wildly from game to game.

The coming soon is specifically designed so as not to have a definite time frame attached to it, as we wouldn't want to disappoint you. Please use this section as a guide to what will be coming to Metaboli, with no time limit really.

If you look at it over the years, some will remember we had Dawn of War Soulstorm sitting in there for a loooong time. And then we had to take it out as it just had been too long. But we finally were able to release it without warning a few weeks ago. So all good things come to those who are patient! Or something to that effect.

Re: Dirt 2
Testing - Within 1 month - They have it ready to go just testing to make sure it works without problems (can be longer depending on DRM ie those that check half way through the game)

Packaging - Within 3 months - They have what they need from the developer and are in the process of converting it to the Metaboli system.

Approved - 6 months - Publisher has said ok and are going to send Metaboli the data nescessary to package the game.

Now these time frames are only a guide, they can be quicker or slower depending on complications.

'tis not an exact science.

Games come, games go, games leap over each other in their enthusiasm to be at our fingertips, whilst other skulk in the shadows hiding from our stern gaze.

In other words - the "coming soon" section is just a guide.

The way I look at it is "don't buy this cos' you're gonna get it - one day, eventually - 'for free' from Metaboli."

I also look at it as a way of keeping an eye on what publishers/developers Metaboli are dealing with - cos' once you get one from a publishers it raises the chance of others (in my simple mind) ;)

And then they go and release "Hearts of Iron III" sompletely out of the blue not long after I gave up waiting and bought half of Paradox's strategy catalogue. Grrr!"

there has to be some kind of time frame.
