As usual, your advice is spot on. Running IE as an administrator solves the problem. But I still have to say that Metaboli are useless in passing on this information and it is such a shame. The product is excellent and they let themselves down so often. I don't know whether it's that French shruggy shoulder thing?

Anyway, in all the excitement, I've forgotten what game I wanted to play! I'll just have to sit down with a nice cup of tea and try to remember.

as bifta asks which browser do you use I'm using the latest version of firefox and don't get the issue you have i'm also using win7 64, to be honest i haven't really had an issue since the update i had my list not update once which was solved by going in to task manager and closing yummy and restarting again, other than that it's been fine it's weird as some have no issues while some like yourself do.

that's the thing with PC's everyone has different setups with spec and browsers and that can be a pain to get working perfect for all.

What browser are you using?

Personally i find that unless i run my browser with admin rights i get the same thing you do.With admin rights enabled for my browser the issue pretty much goes away totally.

I have seen to the odd issue since this service released the new player but not to the same extent as yourself.

What is going on?

I have been using Metaboli for years now and, yes, there have been problems in the past but nothing like the appalling problems that I've seen since this new "improved?" player was introduced!

Am I the only one who is having to uninstall and re-install the player everyday that I connect?

I get "Applet initialized. Connecting to player" then 3 boxes that fluctuate and nothing else.

I've looked at posts and done the hosts file update to remove the hashes (or whatever it was).

If I uninstall the player and then install it again it works until I switch off my computer and try to connect again. At that point I'm back to "Applet initialized. Connecting to player". I am not prepared to do this every time I want to use the service: that is completely unacceptable.

I know this sounds all whingy, but unless something is done about the service and pretty soon, I will be leaving. When it works it is excellent, but I'm not prepared to pay for something that doesn't work.
