This does not appear to be an issue meta's side.At least not at the time of posting this.I have just started downloading stalker and it is downloading at the maximum speed for my connection.
Katana i had horrendous problems when using this service with BT.Before i was with BT i was with AOL and downloaded at around 1800kbps all the time.After they subjected me to a fair usage policy with no notice i changed to BT for my net.Over night i saw my download speeds reduce to around 350kbps on average with BT.When running a trace route with BT i found they were sending me through 18-22 hops and more often than not the response times i had in bt's network were horrendous.With AOL i was going through around 7-8 hops.Now im with sky and am again able to download at the top speed for my connection and am sent through around 7-8 hops.
Having said that there can be a lot of different things that can affect download speeds.
Speed tests don't always give accurate results as speed tests are priortised.
Things that can affect download speeds are
1.Netwrok traffic
2.Network settings
3.Malware on your computer(tracking cookies, spyware, virsues etc)
4.Your internet provider
5.Fair usage policies
6.Router settings(a reset can sometimes resolve)
and more things too.
If you are both still suffering issues the next time you try downloading a game try running a traceroute to the metaboli servers.It might help show if it is metaboli that is causing the issue for you or if another part of the network is causing you issues.
To do so goto start and type cmd in to the search box and hit enter.When the command prompt line has loaded type tracert
http://www.metaboli.co.uk and hit enter.Let the trace complete and then copy and paste the results here please.Make sure you hide your own internet addresse if it is shown.I will have a look and see if i can see any issues with the trace routes you post.

Stalker which is over 3gb has finished downloading now and took under 30 mins for me
