In order to enhance your gaming experience on our portals, we are happy to announce the publication of a completely new Metaboli Player!

The new Player – based on Java technology - will be compatible with every web browser and the installation and upgrade processes will be transparent with no impact on your experience.

In order to install the new Metaboli Player, just go to the My Games page and follow the instructions.
Your Windows may request authorization for the UAC (User Account Control) in order to start the installation of the new player.

The installation steps in detail:

1. The installer will verify whether you have the latest version of Java (a necessary prerequisite) installed on your computer. If an older version is found, it will propose the installation of the latest version of Java. This process may take a few minutes, depending on your bandwidth and your settings.

NOTE: If you do not have Java on your system at all, the player installation process cannot be launched. In that case, please install Java from here

2. The installer will then verify that Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (also a necessary prerequisite) is installed on your computer. If not, it will propose the installation. This may also take a few minutes.

3. Then the new player itself will be installed on your computer.

4. Start playing!

Please find below the new functionality details provided by the Player:

Better compatibility:
- Web browser compatibility: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari.
- New Player is not dependant on authorization requests for Internet Explorer & Firefox anymore.
- You don’t need to update the Player anymore in case the web browser is updated.
- Future updates of the new Player will be done automatically; you won’t have to uninstall the new Player if an update is required.
- The new player’s architecture avoids occasional antivirus / firewall alerts upon game launch or download.

Better accessibility:
- Improved “favorite games” accessibility
- The addition of a player icon in the task bar (system tray) when the new player is launched allows easy access to your games and the player options, to change the installation path of the games, to deactivate the alerts, to deactivate sounds and to close the player.
- The icon in the task bar will also alert you when a game is downloading, when a game has passed the streaming point and can be launched, and when a game has finished downloading.
