Losing discount because of credit card change
Hi
I have switched to a new bank which caused my old credit card to be cancelled/closed/voided. I then wanted to change to my new credit card details but was surprised that I could not.
I then contacted support about this but was told to resubscribe at a non-discount price.
I can't understand why I can't change my credit card details without having to resubscribe as resubscribing will cost me the discount I got for signing up long term.
Why can't I keep my current subscription and just change the credit card details?

you have to cancel the sub and re-subscribe to change details that's how it is i'm afraid as long as you are indeed on the life time discount and not some other one you should be able to keep your discount sub. I was in a similar situation to you but was able to keep my discount sub by contacting Metashane and he arranged with Support to have a pop appear for when i re-subscribed that kept my discount so may be worth PMing Shane and telling him the situation and he should be able to arrange something.

Did you get this resolved by now or should I get your info to contact Support?

It was a scheme ran a while ago where meta decided to offer long term members a discount if they took a subscription for a minimum length of time.
Can't remember if it was for a minimum of 6 or 12 months originally

The discount was for life but you couldn't cancel for 6 months to get it, that's why it was offered to us long term members less chance of us wanting to leave before the 6 months was up.

Re: Losing discount because of credit card change
Let me give you the somewhat late answers in order. @MetaD: Yes I got this problem resolved by contacting Shane. @Mobilemick: yep, exactly as Terranova and bifta stated. And sorry for doing what I see all to often on other forums; forgetting to post whether or not it is resolved and the solution. Best regards Morten
