Im not seeing why its only giving you 200k there if your on 20mb, but as we mentioned before Virgins FUP might be the cause on that, Large sized downloads (unspecific on what is large) and total downloads between 3pm and 10pm of 3gb will trigger automattic FUP which drops the max speed down to 5mb or 500kb/sec.Empire Earth 3 would trigger the Large file case though for sure as its over 3gb. This happens at the beginning of the download regardless of if you are anywhere near the 3gb limit.Your also not on a shared connection with 2 pc's downloading at the same time?

no i have a laptop but offline and in any case connect striaght to virgin modem so if i do go online with laptop it is a switch of ethernet cable i have a router but don't use i just simply use ethernet and reboot modem when i do so don't trust wireless connections hardwire for me faster and more secure and only one pc online at one time

maybe have to scream and shout at virgin but like lanky says falls on deaf ears as there broadband support is in a india call centre and they are programed robots who they themselves have no real life experience of such problems and follow a script no matter how many times you tell them i have gone through all the same test you are asking me 15 times allready, they still insist you do them again they have no idea how to think outside of the box why o why do w have call centers in countrys that don't have the technology available in the same way as western countrys erm let me think 50p an hour Richard Branson naughty boy tut tut tut.... one question still remians you promoted site on broadband plus a virginmedia service free to all customers and still not sorted out service to virgin customers are you at the point of floating business?? is this service trying to sell itself or is marketing department more efficient than customer service. In general this is the case don't mean to step out of line but i find it amazing you promote service to vigin customers and admit you have service problems with them.....

lmfao.Metaboli has only just recently been advertised via virgin and yes i personally think virgin are a bit crafty advertising it. But as a subscriber to both virgin and metaboli i feel the fault lies purely with virgin. The traceroute i have run have always indicated a problem with Virgin, thanks for all wildrides help in translating by the way.The problem is virgin have just banged it on the website, half the engineers have not heard of metaboli.I can't change isp as i'm renting and want digital telly aswell so sky not an option. Try getting your TV phone and broadband via virgin, this way you get all three XL size and if you pay by direct debit it costs you as little as £53. That just over £17 per service, as i have said it's better than the standalone price of £37.99 for the 20mb line
