Ahh well.. pity as you cant use extended without changing the exe I think.. still believe its best to have TC rather than XTC up. MetaD did announce it as Extended, but all the descriptions pointed to normal. If your changing it can ignore my game review, just let us know when its done so we can redownload. Ill also check if the patch works our side again, could simply be that with Xtended it didnt work as it wouldnt recognise any files

Really, there need to be two versions of this on the site. One for regular Terran Conflict, one for XTended, and make it clear which is which. The mod is designed for veteran players, wheras Terran Conflict actually has tutorial missions - forcing newbies into the super-hardcore modded version is not a good idea at all.
I can't even imagine how tough it would be to start out with that mod and no prior experience.

shane has already said they will be removing Xtended once they get Terran because they can't have both. so there wont be two versions.

In my experience so far, most Metaboli games are moddable. With a little luck, it should be possible to install XTended over the base game anyway. If not, well, it's still a big honking space-sim as part of the package.
But yeah, launching people straight in with a mod designed for expert players ain't good.

I've asked over here and they tell me we should have the base game in 2 months. In the meantime, enjoy the other new releases
