08. Player installation troubles to Vista users
Please follow the required steps (sorry if it's not 100% stylish, but we prefer having you play right away if the solution is working).
1) Please open your Host file with your textpad.
You can find it on C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, right click on it and select “Open with” --> Notepad.
2) Now look at these 2 lines in the file:
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
In your PC, (if you are experiencing the Player installation issue) they might look like this:
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/268/2buono2.jpg/
3) If so, please remove the “#” symbol from the line:
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
Basically, these 2 lines must look like this in order for your Player to work:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/18/3buono.jpg
Basically, you must make sure that before the lines
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
There are no # symbols.
Once done, please save the file and close it.
Then come back to Metaboli and login on your account, then go to “My games” and the installation process will start. You should no longer get stuck.
