Loads of people have written to us saying that their joysticks, game pads or other controllers do not work with the games.

Most of the time this is not a huge problem, because not all PC games are compatible with pads and joysticks!

First person shooters for example base themselves around the accuracy that the mouse gives them and are therefore not supported by game pads, and strategy games can, obviously, only be played with a mouse!

Games that are compatible with game pads and the like are racing or simulation games and of course arcade games and platformers. But it is not guaranteed that all game pads work with all these types of games, it is up to you to see if your game pad or joystick works with the game on a trial and error basis, if the game controller does not work or is not supported by the game this is not a Metaboli technical support problem.

Advice: If you are not at ease with a keyboard it could be because of the key configuration, most games let you remap the moves to any key you like. To do this go to the config menu of the game to change the keys to a way you like. You will see that after a while you will not be able to go back to the game pad after using the precision allowed by the keyboard and mouse ;)

If a game does support your controller (it will be indicated in the manual) but the controller does not actually work in-game it could be a set-up problem; check that you have the latest drivers for your controller. Here are the support sites of the leading controller manufactures:
