If you do not know the name of your graphics card, please do the following:
- XP users: click on Windows' Start button, select Run... and type dxdiag.
- Vista Users: click on Windows' Start button then type dxdiag in the Search field just above the Start button.
A windows called DirectX Diagnostic Tool will appear. Check the Display Tab, the name of your graphics card is the first entry of the tab. You can see the version and the date of your graphics drivers on the right part of the page, Drivers section.
You can therefore check the manufacturer's website when you will be able to find and download for the latest drivers for your graphics card.
When the download window opens click on Open to start the download.
When the download has finished the installation menu of the new driver will open, follow the on screen instructions to install the new driver.
When the installation is complete you must restart your computer for the new driver to take effect. Therefore we advise for you to save any other information you were working on and select Yes, I want to restart my computer now.
Note : This example is based on the installation of an Nvidia driver, ATI or other graphics card drivers follow the same basic formula.
