Two Worlds is an action-adventure role-playing game with a huge medieval world and numerous options for free development of your character. You'll start your adventure as a bounty hunter searching for his sister, but soon a dark brotherhood and the tomb of Aziraal are discovered and it's a road to save the world that opens before you.
In Two Worlds you're pretty much left to your own devices. There's no rigorous class system like Dungeons and Dragons style RPGs or a long series of missions that you need to undertake: there's just the main mission and an almost endless amount of side quests. It's really all about exploration to get new quests and the improvement of your character happens through a series of guilds. This really allows you to change your character to your style of play as you play. Of course some powerful abilities are only open to those who have taken a certain path, but really there are loads of solutions available and changing roles is relatively simple, so you'll never feel like you've taken the wrong road. And, as usual there's plenty of weapons, armour, artefacts and various magic ingredients, which can be collected, combined and traded, or even used to improve your various equipment or magical powers.
Aside from the complete open-endedness of the mission system you've got one huge world to explore, and huge worlds need decent public transport, well Two Worlds doesn't just fall back on the good old two footed approach but gives you tons of different mounts to choose from (which you can also fight from) and a network of teleport stations that open up once you've first reached the zone in question. Of course fighting from the saddle is as important and impressive as fighting on foot, and considering the moves that you'll be able to pull off against the wild animals, monsters, Groms, Orcs, bandits and the like, you'll be happy for the extra moves that you can pick up from the guilds.
Also worth some note is the almost MMO style of Two World's multiplayer, letting you join servers with plenty of other players, though you'll only be able to group up to 8.
All in all a huge world a true open style than limits you to nothing, an almost infinite amount of choice and specialisations for your character and a combat system that leaves little to be desired, Two Worlds has to be a must download for any RPG fan and a must try for anyone wanting to start an RPG but doesn't want the class constraints to block them.
N.B. To play Two Worlds you will need to activate it in-game with the multiplayer key that you can request on this page from the link under the Play button (when logged in).
You will also need to have install Ageia PhysX drivers (though a PhysX card is not required), as well as havingVisual C++ installed and the latest version of DirectX 9.0c
