For me this is the best game I have ever played but like people have said it lacks something for me its lack of resource types and you need a VERY POWERFUL PC

Love this game but just as Derek TheMole did say , it lacks something , for me this lacks : Ship wrecks : there are no ship wrecks in SC in Total Annihilation that was a super "emergency" metal place. Rocket tower : A cheap way of getting AA against teck 1 planes, super against the Commander rush ppl. The thing thats draging this games score most is : you need a really good computer to play this with 8 ppl and max out units, because of this the game is never a option for the local lan.

I might be misinformed but I do think this is better than TA if only because the automation features are more impressive, not to mention bigger maps, experimentals and the new shield generators. With Forged Alliance, you can set up macros to auto-build your bases, letting you expand outward much faster than would normally be available. I really appreciate that since it let's players go at the limit of their ability instead of interface. There are also many mods available and it's great fun to network play. Not that I think the campaign is all that interesting however. So it's really a straight 5 if you can get some mates together, otherwise it's about 4.

Based on the old Total Annihilation games, but ultimately inferior. I can't put my finger on it, but this game has something about it that means I can't play it for long, and end up installing Total Annihilation instead. On the plus side, it's a nice refreshing take on strategy games around these days. It's more free flowing than the standard resource collecting games, and a lot more action packed. Graphically you can't knock it.
