For those of you not familiar with the Runaway series; it's a pair of adventure games that's up there with the greats of adventure like Syberia, infact you can even download Brian and Gina's second adventure on this site in Runaway the dream of the Turtle.
Anyway back to the story in hand... Just when she's finishing her song in the Pink Paradise Club, Gina Timmins sees a bunch of Mafia goons shoot her father, running to escape she accidentally runs in front of Brian Basco's car. Brian, as all gallant gentlemen physicists do upon running over a fit stripper, takes Gina to the nearest hospital, and thus the adventure begins.
You'll be controlling Brian as he and Gina uncover the plot that led to her father's murder and the secrets behind a certain Indian icon. Along the way you'll be meeting tons of memorable characters (many of which pop-up again in the second Runaway), each with wonderful comedy dialogue. But then nothing can beat the detached, ironic phrases that Brian'll come up with as you discover the various elements of your story and solve the puzzles along the way.
Basically this is an adventure game that deserves attention for fans and non fans alike, even if it's just for the scene with Joshua as he tries to get the right combination of lights to welcome the Trantonians (remind you of anything?).
