10,000 vanquished orcs and counting...
From the creators of the Baldur's Gate series is another epic Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game, Neverwinter Nights. At the onset of the game you'll find yourself in the town of Neverwinter at the height of a deadly plague. With disease as well as thieves and thugs running rampant plus rumours of an evil conspiracy, what a perfect place and time for a brave adventurer to come in and save the day!Download Neverwinter Nights Deluxe Play Neverwinter Nights Deluxe the PC video game

Considering I've played it so much I have to give it a 5
that aside...
Go to the website for this game and read the guide on D&D 3rd edition rules. It will make the game much better from the outset if you do; especially if you have never played D&D regularly or at all. This also goes for NWN2.
The system is very diferent from the Elderscroll series
It is a long game. Chapter 2 is the longest; but it alone is 30+ hours.
The key is to learn how to build a character properly. The way to do this is to read the guides from the official web site and the linked fansites. They are entertaining in themselves.
The character guides do NOT have game spoilers(to my knowledge).
I recommend trying a DEX using Dual Wielding Elven Cleric, get the build right, buff the character to the limit and watch the blades whirl! Orc mince in a minute!
Yes the story can be fairly boring but to be honest most computer D&D stories are, especially if you started with the pen and paper variant with its whim of the real peson playing DM making the plot twists.
