Push that frontline in this online shooter
There's a war going over the last of the world's oil fields, and you're going to part of it. Joining either the Western Coalition or the Red Star Alliance, you're going to need to fight for all your worth to get that black gold. Frontlines: Fuel of War is an online shooter from the same guys that made the Desert Combat Mod for Battlefield 1942. The same style of game; you'll be fighting it out both online and offline, pushing the concentrated frontline battle forward with guns vehicles and the best in remote-controlled war machines.Note:
- Requires the latest DirectX version
- Requires the installation of the Ageia PhysX drivers
- To activate Frontlines and to play online you will need to enter the multiplayer key that you can request with the link under the play button when signed-in.
- The game has been updated and you can now play online with the version 1.3.0.

A good effort. I completed this on Normal mode in about 6 hours of lazy play. The Good:- a linear storyline but with many ways of accomplishing the levels. Lots of new futuristic weapons with ammo that runs out, nice vehicular play and squad support, cinematic are good, terrain is detailed and fun to play in, enemy AI not bad. This can be played on a pretty basic spec PC.
The Bad:- Too much ammo freely available, you can carry too much weaponry that makes you feel superhuman, your squad goes awol every now and again so you have to do a Rambo and win the level single handed. Overall not as immersive a storyline as Call of Duty or Band of Brothers but more fun than Medal of Honour.
