The humongous and legendary post-apocalyptical game

Fallout. Haaa Fallout. What hasn't been said about this glowing mutant of a game? To say that it is a legend is an euphemism.
To state that it is the object of a dark cult of followers is an understatement.
Words aren't enough to describe the nuclear blast that hit us when Interplay and Black Isle decided to unleashed this Fat Boy onto the world, back in the 90's.
I'm afraid you're just going to have to play it to understand what it's all about... And, as here at Metaboli, we believe it would just be cruel to release one Fallout without the others, you'll be able to enjoy the second episode right here, as well as the excellent Fallout Tactics. Note:
- Requires the latest DirectX version
- Vista displays error message, but works in compatibility mode

Excellent game; set in the future with obvious technological advances but all the advertisements and most of the buildings, cars, etc. have a 1950's look and feel. Well worth hours of your time-- a good deal of replay value as well, since the dialog options(which change according to your skill and attribute choices) and different directions you can take are fairly varied. One problem you'll notice after a time is the lack of a way to loot everything from a corpse at once, you have to take each item separately; since this, and the incompetence (not based on their actions so much as their inability to shoot tough opponents with more than accidental frequency) of your party members. The dog is more useful than a cadre of gun-toting idiots, who, given a chance, will set their SMG's to burst fire and shoot (if not you) each other in their overzealous attempts to hit the nearest barn. But honestly this occasionally adds to some of the fun; at the very least it won't detract anything from your gameplay, so dig in. The basic gameplay is real time, only the fighting is turn-based and fairly well done, though the Armor Piercing ammunition doesn't seem to do its job (about the same as the regular ammunition most of the time) and explosions are often less than lethal (unless you work hard on your explosives skill). Since I'm starting to get petty with the critiquing, time to stop. Download it. Play. Fun times.
