Start by choosing a god looking super-car, change its paint job, stick on a nice bit of body-kit, then weld a mini-gun on the side of it and go and destroy some other super-cars in a massive stadium with jumps, loops and corkscrews. Yes, it's a recipe for death if you did it for real, but it's also a recipe for a shed load of fun if it's in a game.
First thing you've got in Crashday is the cars; though they've not got their official names there are some great cars in there including some American muscle cars and some modern super-cars, all of which have nice models to really make them look like the real thing. Then you can chav up your cars, a body kit here, some armour over there, a paint-job, some stickers and a rocket launcher.
And once you've got your wheels it's on to the race/destruction/show, it all really depends on what game type you're after. And with almost ten different game modes including racing, knock-out racing, stunt shows, death-match, rally, capture the flag and... does anyone remember the film Speed well there's one game type like the bus bit in Speed but with the detonating speed that keeps increasing. And then there are the mini-games like the long-jump and the bomb-run. There's definitely enough stuff to keep you occupied through the career.
If the career mode isn't for you then you can take the game online with some of the modes from the single player. Sending a rocket up someone's exhaust just when they aren't expecting it, yes it's playing dirty, but who cares!!.
If you really want to go mad then you can make the map perfect for your destructive needs in the track editor.
And because we're nice enough to have applied the 1.1 patch you can blow up your cars with full joypad support with analogue acceleration and braking too.
